We offer our low protein meals for dogs with 40% & 30% cooked protein. 40% cooked protein is recommended for CKD stage 1 & 2. 30% cooked protein for CKD stage 3 & 4. Renal food for dogs should be low in phosphorus, which can only be achieved with low protein dog food. Canine kidney disease food at Hungry Eyes, does not contain added organ meats which are phosphorous rich foods. For natural Omega 3 supplementation, we recommend feeding fish meals or fish meal toppers two to three times a week. Similarly, organ meats are also to be an occasional treat.
