Our low protein meals for dogs are freshly cooked food for dogs with kidney disease. Chronic Kidney Disease in dogs can be managed through vet prescribed supplements and low protein dog food. We offer our low protein meals for dogs with 40% & 30% cooked protein. 40% cooked protein is recommended for CKD stage 1 & 2. 30% cooked protein for CKD stage 3 & 4. The best food for dogs with kidney problems are a fresh meat based diet with lower protein content. Helping your pooch stay nourished and hydrated.
Renal food for dogs should be low in phosphorus, which can only be achieved with low protein dog food. Canine kidney disease food at Hungry Eyes, does not contain added organ meats which are phosphorous rich foods. For natural Omega 3 supplementation, we recommend feeding fish meals or fish meal toppers two to three times a week. Similarly, organ meats are also to be an occasional treat.
